Harum Manis

I found this place accidentally, I was waiting  for my car to get serviced, it took sometimes so I stroll along Jalan Raya Tajur and found this place.

The place offers variety of Chinese foods particularly noodles. The house specialty is Baso Sapi Singkawang. It's delicious ! The soup is clear and tasty, the noodle is fluffy , the meatball is nice, the beef is tender and it has tofu stuffed with minced beef. I haven't really try other menu since I always order the Baso Sapi Singkawang whenever I visit this place.

Oli Jepret

Oli what?! Yes, Oli Jepret, this a traditional food unique to this rain city.  Its made from Cassava pounded until it forms some kind of dough, make it into small balls, press it and steam it.  This food is usually eaten with Serundeng, shredded coconut sauteed until dry and add some spices, salt and sugar.

This food should be categorized as nearly extinct, since not many people interested is selling this stuff.  Actually if you asked the younger generation of Bogor, not much of them know this food.

Munti Bali

The visit was my second visit, first visit was when we were looking for the place that sells unique handicraft.  The place is kind of gallery that offers Bali style ceramic handicraft and also has a cafe. The ceramic are actually quite good, not much place in Bogor sell this kind of stuff.  At that time I said to myself we should go back, as the cafe looks like a nice place to eat.  And, boy, I was right!
On the second visit we decided to stay for lunch, we ordered Nachos, Char Kwar Teow, Oxtail Rica-rica and Tom Yum.  For the drink we ordered coffee and green tea milkshakes.  Overall the foods wa superb.

I marked this as my new favourite eating place in Bogor!
